For over fifty years, ABS has been a steady presence right off the LA Tech campus — a place where students find real friendship, dig into Scripture, and are encouraged to follow Jesus through their college years and beyond.
Over a shared meal on Tuesday nights and in Bible study groups through the week, students build the kind of friendships that pray for you, show up for you, and walk with you long after graduation.

Jason and Jessica are the parents of eight children — Kennedy Haguewood (Jay), Cooper, Delaney, Wyatt, Avery, Knox, Hattie, and Laurel — and two grandchildren, Beau and Quincy Haguewood. Jason has pastored for over 20 years in Arkansas and Mississippi, and Jessica is a homeschool mom who loves teaching her children. Married since 2002 and both originally from Arkansas, they are excited about the ministry of ABS at LA Tech and making an impact on college students for the glory of God.
Our officers are students who have stepped into leadership — setting up for events, helping cook and clean up, and doing the many things that keep ABS running. They give their own time in service to God by serving others.
The Association of Baptist Students is part of the larger Baptist Missionary Association family of churches — a fellowship devoted to sharing the Gospel at home and around the world. Those churches, along with our alumni, pray for and support this ministry.
That partnership ties our students into something bigger than one campus: a wider network of believers and mission work across the country and around the world.
